Communicating with the GT2 series
The following describes how the DeviceNet mas ter unit commu nicates with the DL-
DN1 (slave u nit) using I/O communication (polling).
"Reading an output from a sensor amplifier" (page 3-16)
"Entering an external input into a sensor amplifier" (page 3-17)
"Reading comparator values (P.V. values) from sensor amplifiers" (page 3-18)
"Changing the Bank Number
of Sensor A
mplifiers" (page 3-19)
"Rewriting a Setting Value of a Sensor Amplifier" (page 3-20)
For the communication methods us ing explicit messaging, see "Explicit
Messaging" (page 3-21).
The button operation of the sensor amplifier is locked for approximately 10
seconds after the end of each of the operations listed below. The screen
displays "COM-Lock" for 2 seconds while switching to the locked state or
when button operation is attempted dur
ing the locked sta te. T
he screen
displays "COM-Unlock" for 2 seconds while unlocking. However, the initial-
ization screen appears when an initialization reset is executed. The initial-
ization screen remains displayed if any of the following operations is
repeated.
•External input
•Cha nging a bank
•Rewriting a setting value(s)
Reading an output from a sensor amplifier
Available outputs: HIGH, LOW, GO, HH, and LL
Device assignments: "Output" (page 3-9)
This example reads the HIGH output from the sensor amplifier of ID01.
It assumes that the operating mode assigned to the device is 3-ou tput mode.
(1)The output from the sensor amplifier is brought into the IN area by I/O
communication.
When using HH output or LL output, set the "special output setting"
of the sensor amplifier to "5-output."
